Responsible for performing daily construction staking tasks for all phases of concrete and rebar construction. Specific duties include: Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet project deadlines per contractual agreement between the company and the customer. Manage, prepare, change and submit budget estimates, for owner's approval based on cost and knowledge of industry standards and internal company policies. Interface with customers in the interpretation and explanation of cost modifications and ensure compliance with overall budget. Prepare contracts schedules and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors as directed to meet project budget parameters. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems that can affect project completion and budget issues. Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems. Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and cost estimates in accordance with the scope of work and customer requirements. Inspect or review blueprints or other technical specifications for projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed. Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies. Develop or implement quality control programs to implement metrics that assess the effectiveness of the estimating process. Responsible for requisition supplies or materials to complete construction projects. Determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to construction sites. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations. Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using current technology to companies capabilities to reduce energy costs or minimize carbon output or other sources of harm to the environment. Review and coordinate job site's material, equipment, and labor requirements. Establish construction layout in 3D, validate dimensions, and coordinate construction disciplines. Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to safety, quality, and scheduling (work sequences and durations). Maintain clear and open communications with Field Engineers, Superintendents, Field Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, customer teams, vendors, other parties needed to coordinate the work on site. Set up and maintain permanent control throughout the entire line and grade portion of the project. Validate accurate dimensions by reviewing the architectural and structural drawings prior to execution. Identify any discrepancies in drawings prior to execution. Engage the project lead on the line and grade portion of the project to ensure proper scheduling and sequencing. Periodically check calibration (i.e., PPM settings and collimation) for total station and all other layout equipment (i.e., site level, rod) to ensure accuracy and consistency. Transfer "control" elevations throughout job site as necessary. Record "level loops" in project field-book. Prepare cost proposals for construction projects; analyze blueprints; estimate labor, material, equipment, and time costs; assess feasibility and resource planning; develop erection plans for steel structures; and use surveying equipment to coordinate anchor bolt installations. Work with Tekla Structures (BIM), AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Procore, PlanGrid and GIS Mapping Tools.
