About The Position

The Construction Manager leads the execution of SERVPROs Construction Services growth strategy by managing a team of Construction Consultants who support franchise owners nationwide. This role is responsible for implementing company initiatives, ensuring accountability to key performance metrics, and driving adoption of SERVPROs construction systems and best practices. The Construction Manager works cross-functionally with members of Strategic Operations, Field Operations, Information Technology, Commercial Large Loss, and National Accounts to ensure alignment and effective execution of companywide construction initiatives, operational goals, and end-to-end workflow processes. This position reports to the Director of Construction Services and operates as a peer to the Roofing Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, project management, or operations within the construction or restoration industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold field-based teams accountable to defined performance standards and KPIs.
  • Proven experience consulting or managing both residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics, financial results, and operational data to guide decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable presenting to large audiences.
  • Experience developing and delivering training or leading workshops preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, project management, construction management, or a related field; or comparable experience in a construction management role.
  • Combination of both is preferred.
  • A valid general contractors license in the last state in which they operated, Tennessee preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with mitigation-related rebuilds and insurance-driven construction work strongly preferred.
  • Roofing experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of Construction Consultants responsible for helping franchise owners establish, grow, and optimize their construction operations.
  • Execute strategies and initiatives defined by company leadership to expand the construction service line across the franchise system.
  • Define clear goals and performance expectations for the Construction Consultant team; monitors KPIs and KPMs to measure success and drive accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Strategic Operations, Field Operations, IT, Commercial Large Loss, and National Accounts to align initiatives, share insights, and ensure consistent execution.
  • Consult directly with franchise owners and field leadership on business structure, staffing models, estimating practices, compliance, and workflow optimization.
  • Drive implementation of SERVPROs Construction Operating System, ensuring franchisees follow established standards and processes.
  • Support the integration of roofing and other adjacent service lines within the construction program in coordination with the Roofing Manager.
  • Identify performance gaps and opportunities through data analysis, field observations, and franchise feedback, and develops action plans to address them.
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of training materials, presentations, and workshops to strengthen franchise capabilities and engagement.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on construction project management, insurance-related rebuilds, and operational excellence.
  • Assist in developing, testing, and scaling new initiatives to grow construction services and increase overall market share.
