About The Position

Evergreen Real Estate Group is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to serve as the owner’s representative for multi-family ground-up development and senior housing construction projects across the Midwest. This role is responsible for leading projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring delivery aligns with approved scope, budget, schedule, financing requirements, and Evergreen’s quality standards. The Construction Manager provides hands-on leadership during pre-construction while actively overseeing on-site construction activities performed by third-party general contractors and partners. Acting as the central point of coordination, this role manages project planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication, while ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and quality requirements. Working closely with internal development teams, the Construction Manager directly manages architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to maintain continuity, control costs and risk, and drive schedule performance across all phases of the project lifecycle. This position supports Evergreen’s expanding portfolio of new construction assisted living, senior housing, and multi-family projects by fostering accountability, efficiency, and innovation throughout project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field required.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in construction project management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multi-family rehabilitation projects required.
  • Proficiency with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) and scheduling software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.
  • Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and procurement.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoDesk, and PMIS systems.
  • Comfortable conducting site inspections and navigating active construction environments.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
