This position performs professional-level project administration and leadership work supporting complex public works, utilities, construction, major acquisitions, or related programs. The role coordinates and executes senior-level administrative, financial, and project management tasks for large, multi-disciplinary projects involving both field and office work. Responsibilities include budget and financial oversight, contract administration, project planning and performance tracking, and administrative support to senior management. The incumbent may serve as a project administrator, lead worker, or supervisor and works with minimal supervision. The position coordinates projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring schedules, budgets, and performance targets are met. Work involves frequent collaboration with county staff, municipalities, consultants, public agencies, and private contractors. The incumbent assists in developing and implementing program policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensures successful execution of assigned projects or programs. This position reports to a bureau director, department director, senior manager, or designee.
