About The Position

As a Construction Manager at Overwatch, you are the on-site leader responsible for providing complete visibility, accountability, and execution discipline across data center construction projects. This role is built for construction professionals who thrive in the field and understand that in mission-critical construction, daily documentation, communication, and trade coordination are just as important as managing schedule and budget. You will serve as the client’s eyes and ears on site, ensuring progress, safety, quality, and real-time reporting across every trade partner using Procore and infrastructure tracking tools.

Requirements

  • Project management experience in commercial, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical construction
  • Strong field leadership, trade coordination, and jobsite presence
  • High proficiency in Procore (Daily Logs, Photos, Inspections, Documentation)
  • Experience managing multiple trades and high-volume subcontractor teams
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of construction software platforms (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn the data center environment — we’ll teach the tech
  • For roles that require on-site presence or travel between work locations as an essential function of the position, candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain best practices for daily field documentation using Procore (Daily Logs, Photos, Trackers, Inspections)
  • Update daily Infrastructure Trackers for each trade to accurately reflect field progress
  • Attach updated trackers and narratives to Daily Logs for client and design team visibility
  • Provide daily updates on RFIs, Submittals, and Change Orders identified by the Sr. CM
  • Facilitate decision-making by identifying production gaps, sequencing issues, and potential schedule impacts early
  • Drive consistent documentation practices that allow scalable reporting across projects
  • Create unfiltered Daily Logs documenting construction activities, site dynamics, accomplishments, and risks
  • Capture up to 200 daily jobsite photos using Procore’s photo tool to document work in progress
  • Respond daily to comments and questions from client and design team reviewers on logs, photos, and trackers
  • Document meeting notes as a field diary (discussion points, tone, and project impacts — not minutes)
  • Attend OAC and project meetings and communicate impacts to scope, schedule, and safety
  • Serve as the single point of contact for field communication between Overwatch, client partners, and trade teams
  • Provide weekly updates on project scope, schedule, and budget following data center construction standards
  • Establish and promote a safe, organized, and highly accountable jobsite culture
  • Perform weekly Safety Audits using Procore’s inspection tool
  • Maintain real-time awareness of field conditions and how they align to schedule and budget
  • Work independently to identify and escalate issues before they impact the project
  • Ensure all documentation reflects true jobsite conditions at all times
  • Oversee daily construction site activities and subcontractor performance
  • Ensure trade partners are executing work according to sequence, quality expectations, and infrastructure plans
  • Review scopes of work, design plans, and vendor invoices for alignment with field progress
  • Support preparation of RFPs, PERs, and project approval documentation
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements through thorough Procore documentation
