We are seeking a Construction Manager to be a part of the delivery of water infrastructure and pipeline systems supporting key client developments onsite in Virginia. This role will be managing construction activities for water and wastewater systems, ensuring alignment with Mott MacDonald’s sustainability and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on water infrastructure
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale water infrastructure projects, preferably in data centre or industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of water systems, pipeline construction, water storage tanks, hydraulic pump stations, and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with digital construction tools and BIM is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction management for water infrastructure components of hyperscale infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment systems
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well as external contractors and utility providers
  • Manage construction schedules, budgets, procurement, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct constructability reviews and provide technical input during design and pre-construction phases
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support field engineering and administration, including documentation and reporting
