About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Splicing Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of fiber optic splicing operations across OSP projects nationwide. This role is responsible for leading in-house and subcontracted splicing crews, ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met, and serving as a key point of contact between internal teams and clients. The Splicing Manager plays a critical role in keeping projects on schedule, resolving field issues, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. This position requires deep hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, field-driven environment. The role is remote but requires regular nationwide travel to job sites as needed. Key Highlights The Splicing Manager leads and supervises splicing technicians and subcontractors, assigns work, and monitors progress to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification. This role partners closely with project managers and construction teams to coordinate schedules, resources, and materials. Responsibilities also include reviewing splicing documentation, test results, and as-built drawings; enforcing quality and safety standards; communicating project status to clients; and addressing issues as they arise in the field.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in OSP fiber optic splicing
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of fusion and mechanical splicing and fiber testing (OTDRs, power meters, light sources)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Willingness to travel nationwide and work flexible hours as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as FOA, CFOS, or BICSI are a plus
