About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Senior Field Engineer to support and oversee site contract work for construction projects from bidding through closeout. This role blends field leadership with construction administration, serving as a key liaison between project stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with design intent and contract requirements.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in construction management, construction administration, or field engineering with full project lifecycle exposure
Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract structures, and documentation workflows, particularly for multi-prime public bid contracts
Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and design teams, on complex projects
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree preferred
Familiarity with public-sector projects and permitting processes (municipal, DEP, DOT) preferred

Responsibilities

Lead site contract work construction projects from bidding through closeout, coordinating multiple contractors, disciplines, and stakeholders
Serve as the primary liaison between field teams, design staff, clients, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment
Manage construction administration processes (RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications) and maintain all project documentation and reporting
Monitor project performance including schedule (CPM), budget, quality, and safety; identify risks and ensure compliance with design intent and regulations
Support technical aspects of projects including site civil elements (grading, drainage, utilities), permitting, cost estimating, and mentoring junior staff
