Our Construction Management Team in Northern California is seeking a talented and experienced Civil Construction Manager/Resident Engineer to manage municipal wastewater projects in the scenic Lake Tahoe/Truckee area. About being our Construction Manager/Resident Engineer - Municipal Wastewater In this position, you'll lead the construction phase for projects in the Sacramento Valley, Sierra Foothills, and Lake Tahoe region. Daily site presence is required; candidates must be able to commute to the project site. Future assignments may vary in scope, complexity, and size.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Active California Professional Engineering (PE) license or accreditation as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) though Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience managing construction or engineering for wastewater facilities
  • Ability to successfully chase and win CM assignments
  • Ability to travel between project sites and office facilities
  • Ability to work on-site in a construction trailer or building where exposure to heights, ability to walk on uneven surface, stand, climb ladders, crawl, stoop, enter confined spaces, tolerate heat, cold, dirt, odors, wastewater, chemicals, and other construction hazards that may exist

Nice To Haves

  • Active California Professional Engineering (PE) license or accreditation as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) though Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-construction services including bid-ability/constructability reviews and bidding services
  • Provide contract administration, review contractor's schedule, respond to claims received from contractor, documenting progress of the project, and respond to requests for information, submittals, and change orders
  • Provide monitoring of project in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget, and schedule
  • Daily personal interactions/coordination with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
  • Direct and supervise field construction management staff and their activities and other Psomas/Owner sub-consultants, as directed
  • Facilitate project delivery and the resolution of project issues in a fair and firm manner

  • A competitive salary! The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000/year depending on experience
