Construction Manager I (Transit) for GFT Infrastructure, Inc. to report to our FAIRFAX, VA loc but working at multiple unanticipated locations. Perform routine, clearly defined assignments with an understanding of standard construction docs, procedures, and criteria. Duties: Provide construction management services for transportation and transit facilities. Conduct and document construction project meetings with clients. Prep and monitor construction project schedules. Perform periodic construction observation and inspection. Interpret surveys. Prep reports and correspondence. Prep and check quantities for measurement and payment purposes. Prep construction payment applications. Negotiate and prep construction change orders. Review submittals and other technical data. Utilize construction management software for document management and scheduling. Perform constructability reviews and value engineering studies. Assists w/ Risk Management assessments. Prepares and monitors QC and QA Plans. May undergo background checks including drug screen and MV check. Frequent regional travel required potentially exceeding 60 days/yr but less than 5 days/trip. Must have Bach in Civil engineering, Construction Management, or rel field and 7 yrs relevant engineering project experience or Master’s in Civil engineering or rel field and 5 yrs relevant engineering project experience. Also reqs the following skills (5 yrs exp) in: MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Procore. Also reqs driver’s license. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
