About the Role Crossland Heavy is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to oversee electrical subcontractors at our Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical project management & supervision, particularly in the Water and Wastewater sector. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of electrical & I&C subcontracts, with a focus on meeting project schedules, successful startup & commissioning, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Project Manager with a focus on Water/Wastewater or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Graduate from an electrical trade school or hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Journeyman or Master's electrical license.
  • Proficient in BlueBeam or, at a minimum, Adobe Acrobat Reader for document management and review.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 applications for project tracking and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design and installation practices specific to Water and Wastewater systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems specific to Water and Wastewater infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to Water/Wastewater electrical systems (e.g., NEC, NEMA).
  • Experience using project management software such as Procore & Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and resource allocation for large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with field operations and understanding of safety requirements for on-site electrical installations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical & I&C subcontractors for Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects, from initiation through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for electrical and I&C work, coordinating with management and other subcontractors.
  • Oversee project procurement, ensuring the timely purchase of materials, equipment, and services required for electrical installations.
  • Manage the preparation of submittals, RFI’s, & change orders, for all phases of the project.
  • Coordinate with Electrical & I&C subcontractors to ensure electrical systems are installed, tested, and operational according to contract drawings & specifications.
  • Review and approve Subcontractor Pay Applications
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding project progress, risks, and any potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical issues related to electrical installations and design.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and industry standards (including NEC) related to electrical systems in Water and Wastewater infrastructure.
  • Maintain effective communication management to ensure clear understanding of project status, challenges, and deliverables.
  • Utilize project management software such as Primavera P6 and Procore to track and report on project timelines and milestones.
  • Attend daily morning coordination meetings with Electrical Subcontractor
  • Review & approve electrical subcontractor 6 week look ahead schedules
  • Build Commissioning & Startup Plans
  • Execute Commissioning & Startup of the Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants
  • Ensure quality control through regular site inspections and by reviewing completed work for compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
