About The Position

The Construction Management Representative (CMR) will provide a variety of Construction Management functions - technical assistance/support to the General Contractor (GC) performing the construction project, communications with NPS staff of any issues/problems with construction, coordination with NPS (government), Construction GC, and others, participate in stakeholder meetings/calls, resolve disputes, provide the NPS with findings and recommendations upon completion of reviews, upload documents to project management software, provide deliverables (reports, reviews, design work etc... all within one week), arrange, attend, and facilitate meetings, prepare meeting minutes, perform submittal reviews (specifications, technical, and informational), review GC progress/schedules, ensure accuracy of payrolls for onsite labor and mechanics, review Quality Control reports, RFIs, requests for payments and other documents, draft scoping documents for construction contract modifications, prepare government cost estimates with breakdown of labor, materials, and equipment, review any relevant project costs, perform general inspections, inspect GC progress, quality, and compliance, perform surveys, review project drawings, and take photographs.

Requirements

  • Shall be knowledgeable in construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations (must have a minimum of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training).
  • CMR shall be knowledgeable in construction practices including applicable building codes, applicable safety regulations (must have a minimum of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training), cost breakdown estimating and negotiating, and technical writing
  • CMR shall also be computer literate and able to open and manipulate Oracle Primavera Project and Microsoft (MS) Project, Word and Excel.
