The Department of Engineering Technology at Texas State University is seeking applicants to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor in our growing Construction Science and Management (CSM) and Concrete Industry Management (CIM) programs, beginning in Fall 2026. These undergraduate programs are accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Technology (ATMAE), respectively, and currently serve about 1000 students. The department is also home to MS and PhD programs in construction management with in-person and online options. While candidates with expertise in all areas of construction management will be considered, preference will be given to those in the areas of heavy civil, highway and/or industrial construction. The selected candidate will be expected to excel in teaching, and have excellent oral and written English communication skills. The individual selected for this position will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as departmental needs require. The selected candidate is also expected to conduct research and to secure external funding, establish an independent research program and publish in areas appropriate for both construction and for an emerging research institution. The candidate will also be expected to engage both undergraduate and graduate students in research activities and to supervise graduate students. In addition, the selected candidate will participate in appropriate service activities at the program, department, university and professional levels.
