About The Position

The Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects related to a construction project. This will include, but not be limited to, General Contracting projects, larger-scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, TremCares, etc. This will involve working closely with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician assigned to the project to ensure the project is executed effectively, completed safely, and all contractual obligations are adhered to. Additional duties will include participating in on-site meetings, developing the scope of work, reviewing proposals, specifications, and project schedules, assembling project submittals, obtaining building permits, and completing project closeout documents, as well as other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.

  • Assisting the Construction Manager in tracking project costs, budget variances, and profitability.
  • Accountable for Quality Assurance.
  • Ensuring subcontractor has submitted the required documents.
  • Establishing timelines and goals.
  • Managing key metrics and report on as required.
  • Coordinating with Program Managers, Project Administrators, Project Estimators, Specification Writers, Sales Representatives, and RBM when needed.
  • Assisting in the review of submitted proposals and contractor interviews for specification and contractual compliance.
  • Reviewing line-item generated proposal documents.
  • Directing Project Superintendents as needed.
  • Collaborating with the Construction Manager and Sales Representative to define the project scope of work.
  • Completing specification request and related documents.
  • Responsible for specification review as required by the Construction Manager.
  • Conducting Pre-Proposal Meeting and distributes completed Pre-Proposal Meeting documentation to all applicable parties.
  • Assisting the Construction Manager in reviewing proposals.
  • Preparing Proposal Documents as directed by the Construction Manager.
  • Publishing Project Schedule.
  • Assisting the Construction Manager in planning and coordinating the Pre-Construction Meeting.
  • Engaging with the Project Superintendent to provide necessary project information.
  • Conducting Pre-Construction Meeting and and distribute completed Pre-Construction Meeting documentation to all applicable parties.
  • Obtaining a Building Permit when required.
  • Reviewing Daily Inspection Forms and ensures they are distributed to all applicable parties and uploaded into project files.
  • Visiting job site as necessary or directed by Construction Manager.
  • Conducting weekly Progress Meetings, virtual or onsite, and distribute meeting minutes to all applicable parties.
  • Maintaining Project Schedule and update on a weekly basis.
  • Performing site audits as appropriate.
  • Reviewing subcontractor payment requests with the Construction Manager.
  • Assembling AIA billing applications for the Construction Manager's review and approval.
  • Assisting Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, Subcontractor, Owner, or Sales Representative as needed.
  • Assisting the Construction Manager in coordinating the final inspection.
  • Ensuring all required documents are uploaded into the project files.
