About The Position

Ranger College's Continuing Education Department is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Management part time Instructor to teach face-to-face evening courses within the Construction Management Program. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to engage adult learners in practical, career-focused training. Start date will be May 2026. Courses & Expectations CNBT 1011 - Construction Materials and Methods I Delivery: In-person, face-to-face Schedule: 5:00 PM-9:00 PM, plus office hours from 4-5pm, two days per week for 6 weeks Contact Hours: 48 Course Focus: Introduction to construction materials and methods, including basic math applications End-of-Course Outcomes: Identify construction materials and their applications Describe construction methods and sustainable material practices Participate in hands-on activities, internships, and field trips with industry partners CNBT 1002 - Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems Delivery: In-person, face-to-face Schedule: 5:00 PM-9:00 PM, plus office hours from 4-5pm, two days per week for 6 weeks Contact Hours: 48 Course Focus: Fundamentals of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems and their relationship to building construction End-of-Course Outcomes: Identify system components and their functions Observe and participate in field trips and industry demonstrations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in construction management, design, or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, architecture, or related fields
  • OSHA certification or strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned face-to-face courses and ensure all end-of-course outcomes are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on lab activities aligned with course objectives.
  • Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, projects, and practical evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and documentation in accordance with Ranger College policy.
  • Support students in accessing required instructional resources and materials.
  • Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and ongoing instructional improvement.
  • Stay current with industry practices, emerging construction technologies, and safety standards.
  • Work flexible hours, including required evening classes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
