Job Summary: The purpose of the Construction Utility Maintenance is to be responsible for waste pick up throughout plant and place in compactor. Drive floor sweeper and scrubber throughout plant cleaning floor. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Handle a broad range of duties including waste pick up and water lift truck batteries. Drive a lift truck. Drive floor sweeper and scrubber. Work on construction crew as directed by supervisor. Serve as a waste disposal operator. Must be willing to fill in when needed in lift shop and plant maintenance when asked . Performance Expectations (if applicable): Lifting is required, varies per shift. (Tools, parts, etc. weighing 1 to 100 pounds, 0-100 times per shift.) Standing is required, varies per shift. (1 to 50 times per shift, for intervals of 5 minutes to 10 hours.) Reaching is required, varies per shift. (Tools, parts, etc. 1 to 50 times per hour.) Stooping is required, varies per shift. (1 to 20 times per hour for intervals of 1 minute to 1 hour.) Bending is required, varies per shift. (Parts, tools, or to do work, 1 to 30 times per hour.) Must be able to use hand, power, and shop tools, varies per shift. (1 to 50 times per shift.) Must have normal mobility, no abnormal fear of heights or confined spaces. Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
