The Construction Logistics Director reflects a focus on craft workforce planning and equipment logistics across construction sites throughout CT. Key responsibilities include oversight of craft manpower planning, union relationships, and the forecast and coordination of equipment logistics.

Requirements

  • Career experience must include at least 15 years of supervision in construction (vertical, heavy civil, site work etc.).
  • Experience as a craft professional preferred.
  • Experience must include construction means, methods, equipment, tools, work procedures, as well as advanced understanding of construction scheduling.
  • Construction experience must include control and supervision of large groups of craftsmen and demonstrated productive business relationships with labor unions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
  • OSHA 30-hour training.
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • Actively promote safe execution of projects.
  • Demonstrate business acumen to protect company assets.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining open, positive, and direct lines of communication among owners, fleet management and off-site management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the forecasting and scheduling of craft labor requirements across multiple projects
  • Oversee the logistical planning and movement of equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and procurement teams to align labor and equipment forecasts with project timelines
  • Identify potential bottlenecks or resource gaps and implement proactive solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and logistical coordination across all fixed and field sites
