About The Position

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Construction Loan Portfolio Manager This position will oversee a portfolio of multifamily affordable housing construction loans from origination through closing and conversion, with a focus on monitoring performance of the projects during construction, identifying potential issues, and supporting the development team in addressing problem loans. This position will support the review of new loan applications and actively manage the lender role on underperforming projects, working closely with the Virginia Housing team, borrowers, and general contractors to protect Virginia Housing’s interests. Additionally, this role will assist with portfolio analysis to help drive future production decisions. Virginia Housing is one of the nation’s premier housing finance agencies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning or related field.
  • Many years of experience in multi-family real estate finance, affordable housing, or commercial development.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction loan underwriting, project management, and negotiation.
  • A valid driver’s license.
