About the position

The Landscape Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing landscape construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of construction contracts, project management, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating costs and managing multiple projects simultaneously, while also coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee landscape construction projects from estimation to completion.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Conduct site investigations and take-offs for accurate estimating.
• Solicit and analyze proposals from subcontractors.
• Prepare requisitions and change orders as needed.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and landscape architects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of proven experience in landscape construction and project management.
• Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Experience with site investigations, take-offs, and estimating.
• Proficiency in using BlueBeam and PlanSwift software.
• General understanding of site construction, including drainage and grading.
• Ability to develop planting plans and identify plant species.
• Knowledge of cost of goods and project budgeting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and industry-related programs.
• Previous experience with NYC or urban residential/high-rise projects.

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.
