Construction Laborer (All Outdoor Construction Trades) - Section 3
About The Position
Hands-on work on a heavy civil construction project for the St. Bernard Neighborhood Playground Stormwater Management Project (HUD Section 3 Project 4429), located at Willie Hall Playground,1101 Milton St., New Orleans, LA 70122. Individuals meeting the HUD low-income limit ($43,900 annually / $21.10 per hour for the New Orleans area), public housing residents, or YouthBuild participants are strongly encouraged to apply. If no immediate openings are available, interested candidates may still submit information to be considered for future opportunities on Section 3 projects. Note: This is a HUD Section 3 project. Individuals meeting Section 3 income or residency criteria will receive priority consideration in accordance with federal guidelines. About Cycle Construction Cycle Construction is hiring full-time Construction Workers to support highway, heavy, and marine projects across South Louisiana. Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license and TWIC card (or ability to obtain)
- Reliable transportation and steel-toe boots
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Positive attitude and team mentality
Responsibilities
- Performing general construction duties (trenching, mixing concrete, moving materials)
- Operating hand and power tools safely
- Assisting equipment operators and craft workers
- Maintaining a clean, organized job site
- Following all company and OSHA safety requirements
