About The Position

The Laborer is a member of our outside plant division, is directed by the Construction Foreman, accountable to ensure accuracy related to tasks and follow all policies and procedures related to safety, quality and production. Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• Have a valid driver license with clean driving record
• Self-motivated with ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with coworkers
• Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, lift heavy physical objects, kneel, crouch, balance, climb or crawl
• Frequently use hand tools, pneumatic tools (tampers, compactors, 60 & 90lb jackhammer, chipping hammer)
• Must have the ability to assist in the installation of conduit, hand holes, vaults, manholes and cable
• Must pass a Drug Test & Background Check

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Assist crew members with construction work as required
• Operate compressors and missiles
• Install pedestals and vaults
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment in a safe manner
• Dig trenches and remove, fill, or compact earth
• Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
• Assist with the handling and placement of conduit and cables
• Maintain equipment
• Perform site clean-up
• Complete all required Company documentation
• Other duties as assigned
