As a Construction Laborer, you’ll be an integral part of our projects, helping with a variety of tasks including site preparation, landscaping, and general labor, on active restoration sites across your region. That may include wetlands, streambanks, prairies, or stormwater facilities. You’ll work alongside a skilled crew, contributing to projects that make a tangible impact. The ability to travel 2-4 nights throughout the week on key projects and home on the weekends. Per Diem and hotel stay provided. Conduct safety checks on all tools and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and readiness. Tool Operation Operate a variety of tools, including power tools like drills and circular saws, as well as landscape equipment like chainsaws and weed eaters, to perform critical tasks on-site. Hands-On Erosion Control Work hands-on to implement erosion and sediment control measures, following detailed specifications to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Seeding, mulching and matting Assist in setting up and maintaining traffic control systems to ensure safety around the work area Set-Up and maintenance of bypass water pumping & work area dewatering End-of-Day Wrap-Up Clean and store tools and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for the next day. Review completed tasks with your supervisor to confirm everything meets the required standards and specifications. Requirements

  • Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
  • Quick learner with the ability to take on new tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to interpret and follow detailed work specifications.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools or landscape equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in landscaping, construction, farming, or outdoor labor
  • Understanding of erosion and sediment control guidelines
  • Basic Knowledge of traffic control procedures
