About The Position

CMT, a Utah based materials engineering company, is seeking a Construction Testing Technician in the West Valley City Laboratory. We provide value-based services to clients and are looking for individuals who are interested in building their career in the field of construction materials testing, inspection, geotechnical and civil engineering. This is not a medical laboratory. There are full-time (40 hour/week) positions available.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid Drivers License
• Able to lift 60 pounds
• Have a strong ethic

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of similar experience
• ACI, WAQTC certifications
• College level education in civil engineering or geology

Responsibilities

• Receive construction materials: soils, aggregates, concrete and test their physical and mechanical properties.
• Testing includes: Moisture content, Sieve Analysis, Atterberg, Proctor, Consolidation, Direct Shear, Compressive Strength.
• Record data and report to laboratory manager.
