About The Position

AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Intern for our New York, NY office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks. Performs entry level work under close supervision of experienced staff members. Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff, seeking clarification when needed. Meets required schedules while producing quality work, demonstrating attention to detail and time management skills. Will report to Pre-Construction Services Group within Program Project Management (PPM) business line. Assists in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Participates in site visits and field observations to gain practical experience in construction processes. Supports project teams in various administrative tasks, such as document control and meeting minutes. Learns and applies safety protocols and regulations relevant to construction sites. Collaborates with team members on research tasks related to construction materials, methods, and technologies. Assists in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors under the guidance of project managers. Develops proficiency in using construction management software and tools.

Requirements

  • Must have completed a minimum of two years of study
