WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Tucson, Arizona office. Be involved in projects with our PM/CM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Under general supervision, assist with performing basic professional inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, construction, materials, controls, resources, layout, alignment, and elevation to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and construction or operating permits. Provide basic technical assistance that accounts for the proper inspection, construction, and functioning of airfield pavements, highways, roads and infrastructure Assist with project change orders, interpretation of contract plans and specifications, and escalating any differences, errors, or technical problems for appropriate resolution. Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation related to inspection findings using electronic systems, written/oral feedback, photographs, drawings, diagrams, illustrations, spreadsheets, and reports. Comply with client policies and procedures for inspection work under contract. Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific safety procedures. Exhibit basic knowledge of current field inspection practices. Work collaboratively with other professionals, scientists, engineers, inspectors, project control, and technicians on assigned inspection phases, checks, and tasks. Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
