French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Construction Inspector - Utility and Municipal Infrastructure. This role involves observing and inspecting construction activities for utility and municipal infrastructure projects, including water distribution, sanitary sewer, stormwater systems, and roadway improvements. The inspector will monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, permits, and applicable codes and standards, and prepare detailed daily reports. Key responsibilities include tracking installed quantities, maintaining accurate records, taking and organizing photographic documentation of construction progress, and serving as a liaison between contractors, clients, municipal agencies, and the design team to facilitate communication and resolve field issues. The inspector will also attend construction meetings, provide updates, verify materials and workmanship, assist with document reviews (shop drawings, RFIs, change orders), monitor project schedules, ensure adherence to safety standards, coordinate with utility companies and local municipalities, and support project closeout activities.
