About The Position

Join our team and play a key role in shaping our City's construction projects! In this hands-on position, you'll ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards while working independently in the field. You'll also collaborate with supervisors on unique challenges, using your technical expertise, initiative, and judgment to make a real impact.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience that includes one of the following:
• Construction inspection or testing on construction of public works projects such as streets, bridges, buildings, stormwater facilities, water mains, sanitary sewers
• Construction inspection or testing on commercial building projects
• Valid Class-E (or equivalent) State driver's license is required upon appointment
• OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect right-of-way construction to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Respond to citizen inquiries and address questions or complaints in the field.
• Oversee contractor work for public infrastructure and private development projects.
• Verify ADA compliance for construction activities within the right-of-way.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and review permit applications for right-of-way projects.
