Construction Inspector, Project Services
About The Position
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Construction Inspector to support Outside Plant (OSP) fiber optic projects, including FTTH, MDU, and FTTB builds. This role requires daily travel to job sites within the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area and active onsite presence. Type: Contract Job Title: Construction Inspector, Project Services Location: Scranton, PA Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Scranton, PA Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Requirements
- Valid US Driver's License and clean driving record
- Ability to travel daily and work onsite in varying weather conditions
- Physical ability to walk up to 5 miles/day and perform site tasks
- Ability to read FTTX prints and use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong communication, collaboration, and independent work skills
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report daily vendor activities for fiber optic construction projects
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure project compliance
- Inspect construction quality and enforce customer/industry standards
- Use Sitetracker to report production and track material inventory
- Direct contractor activities and respond to Project Manager needs
- Maintain safety compliance on all job sites
