About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Inspector I for immediate employment in Orange, CA. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques Completes tasks requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles Focuses on estimating take-offs, conducting walk-downs for quantity tracking, reporting installed quantities, and performing field inspections to verify design compliance Assists in the preparation and review of construction drawings and related technical documents to ensure compliance with project standards Contributes to specific portions of broader assignments within established guidelines Primarily duties on Document Control and assisting in the close-out process Tracking Force Account Work and providing as needed for final inspections

Requirements

  • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid driver's license, MVR check required

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Construction engineering or field engineering experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction specifications, building codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform site inspections and prepare detailed technical reports
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and construction documentation
  • Familiarity with quantity surveying methodologies and cost estimation
  • Proven experience providing technical supervision and direction to field personnel
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA compliance, and construction safety best practices
