About The Position
GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors - Dam to join our Construction Services team in the Southern California (San Bernardino ; Riverside ; Corona ; Chino Hill ; Lake Elsinore) area to inspect medium to large scale Water / Wastewater related projects throughout Southern CA. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience inspecting structural integrity and regulatory compliance for dams
Responsibilities
- Field Inspections: Conduct routine and, if necessary, emergency site inspections of dams, spillways, valves, and outlet structures.
- Data Analysis: Review and interpret instrumentation data, such as seepage and movement, to evaluate stability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., FERC licensing), including reviewing design documents for repairs, modifications, or removals.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports on findings, recommendations, and maintenance needs.
- Safety Coordination: Collaborate with construction teams and management to manage safety risks and plan maintenance.
