About The Position

AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Inspector Aide to support projects located within the Montgomery, AL area. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in construction inspection while working alongside experienced professionals in the field. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Relies on detailed instructions and pre-established guidelines to effectively perform assigned job functions while following standard procedures and project requirements Works under immediate supervision, receiving guidance and direction from senior inspectors or project managers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and applicable code requirements by performing thorough and consistent inspection duties in the field Performs daily field inspections, documenting observations and maintaining accurate, organized inspection records to support project tracking and compliance Participates in the development of punch lists, as well as testing and commissioning activities, to help ensure all systems and components meet project standards prior to completion Tracks quality assurance progress throughout various stages of construction, identifying issues and supporting corrective actions to maintain project quality Provides input and support for documentation related to area and equipment turnovers, assisting in the preparation of closeout materials and ensuring a smooth transition to operations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid US Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
  • Due to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is required
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT - Must obtain within the first six months of the assignment

Nice To Haves

  • Basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions experience
  • Two years of construction experience
