The Construction Health and Safety Representative is a key on-site leadership role dedicated to promoting and ensuring a safe work environment on a dynamic and federally funded construction project. This full-time position serves as the primary safety authority for all site activities, overseeing compliance with rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards, while fostering a proactive safety culture among all workers and subcontractors. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and managing site-specific safety measures related to this specific project, conducting hazard assessments, delivering training, and ensuring alignment with applicable regulations including OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and DOE safety protocols. Your certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), along with your extensive experience in construction safety, will be critical in driving safety performance, reducing risk, and maintaining operational excellence on site.
