About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Construction Foreman local to the Athens, GA area.

Requirements

• 4 - 6 years' experience
• NCCER certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school.
• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors including times of inclement weather.
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
• Ability to climb a ladder and step into various pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the workers engaged in the demolition, construction, and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the workers engaged in the process of digging, supporting, and refilling trenches or excavations.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects.
• Strong communication skills, especially with respect to directing others.
• Inspects quality of all work to ensure company standards and project specifications are met.
• Analyzes and resolves work related problems.
• Reviews materials received at jobsite to ensure it is correct and not defective.
• Checks equipment to ensure proper working conditions. Ensure that permits have been obtained before work begins.
