About The Position

The Abilene Floor Manager is a key leader driving execution across one of the nation’s largest ongoing data center projects. This role ensures seamless coordination and accountability across active data halls, maintaining 24/7 progress toward critical milestones. This is not a traditional office-based PM role — it’s a hands-on, field-driven position requiring technical understanding, real-time problem solving, and strong interpersonal communication. The ideal candidate thrives on momentum, clarity, and ownership in a dynamic environment where every hour counts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in mission-critical or data center construction, commissioning, or low-voltage infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading field-based operations and coordinating multiple trades in active data halls.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage and structured cabling systems, including pathway design, bonded fiber, and rack-level integration.
  • Solid grasp of MEP interfaces — such as electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, and precision cooling — is a plus.
  • Proven ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate implementation and system coordination.
  • Skilled at directing subcontractors and work crews on-site with clear communication and accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Hands-on, proactive problem solver with exceptional drive and focus.
  • Thrives in high-energy, fast-paced environments requiring constant movement and decision-making.
  • Comfortable walking and managing activity in large data hall environments for extended periods.
