The Texas Heavy Highway Division is currently seeking a highly motivated, hardworking Field Survey Tech. Requirements

1-3 years of experience in Survey Tech
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of field survey methods and calculations
Strong understanding of TXDOT plans and specifications
Able to work independently and efficiently
Knowledge of Construction Practices
Knowledge of GPS, Robotic, and Machine Control Equipment
Knowledge of CAD based computer software
Driver's License
Ability to Relocate to Midland, TX 79705 before starting work
At least three professional references that may be contacted during the interview process

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Industrial Practices
1 year of CAD experience
1 year of Land surveying experience

Responsibilities

Layout of curbs, road centerlines, slope stakes, sewer locations, waterline, and miscellaneous items
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment
Verifies the accuracy of field survey data
Proficient in reading plans
Able to perform Topographic and Asbuilt Surveys
Generate surface models for construction equipment
