About The Position

The Construction Executive Intern provides high-level administrative, operational, and personal support to B&D’s President in a hands-on, fast-paced, and highly trusted role. This position blends professional executive assistance with personal support and driving responsibilities, offering unique exposure to executive leadership and the construction industry. Designed as a year-long , career-building internship with no prior experience required, the role includes direct mentorship and potential pathways to future roles within the company. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, thrives in ambiguity, works well both independently and collaboratively, and performs effectively in an autonomous, fast-paced environment. Candidates must be 21 years or older, have a clean driving record, and be flexible and willing to work varying hours with an adaptable schedule as needed. The responsibilities listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the role and do not encompass every task or duty that may be required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the President’s business and personal needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work long and flexible hours as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Mac experience beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide driving support for the President, including transportation to meetings, job sites, airports, and other professional or personal destinations
  • Perform general administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
  • Support video production efforts, including filming and post-production editing
  • Utilize technology effectively for professional email communication, video editing, and various business software and communication tools, with Mac experience beneficial but not required
  • Cook or assist with meal preparation for meetings as needed
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling, travel coordination, expense reporting, etc.
  • Assist with physical tasks and labor as required
  • Attend and sit in on high-level meetings as requested, maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Support the President in private and professional settings while maintaining professionalism and discretion
  • Maintain discretion and strict confidentiality at all times
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Assist with purchasing company-related items
  • Interact professionally and effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Assist with driving company vehicles as needed, including trucks and vehicles pulling trailers, for various professional or personal needs
  • Demonstrate a self-starter mindset by taking initiative, working proactively, and maintaining a strong work ethic
  • Physical demands include long hours sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing
  • Job requires intermediate computer proficiency and advanced critical thinking skills
  • Other duties, activities, and responsibilities may vary and change as assigned
