About The Position

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Estimator to be based in Indianapolis, IN. This position is expected to begin Summer 2026. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Introduced to the Company estimating systems and processes. Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates. Exposed to various processes, project actions and assumptions that may impact estimates. Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates. Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments. Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required. Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates. Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a large general contractor.
  • Experience in commercial construction estimating.
  • Ability to analyze blueprints, specs, and site info to calculate project costs (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors) for bids, creating detailed budgets, proposals, and quantity takeoffs.
  • Coordination of subcontractor and supplier involvement.
  • Knowledge of building codes, materials and construction methods.
  • Desire to build your career in the field of Estimating.
