A Day in the Life: A successful Estimator includes ongoing communication and education with all customers. You will inspect jobs, sketch and use Xactimate (sometimes Symbility) to create accurate estimates for repair work. This can include any type or size of job from flood, fire, vehicle impact, storm damage, etc. You are responsible for building relationships and follow up with property managers and insurance adjusters to obtain estimate approval. Once approved, the Estimator stays involved with projects for any supplements and/or change orders throughout the course of reconstruction. You are an engaged member of the team and are part of the overall success of the organization.
