Learn more about us at https://kaminskiconstruction.com/ As an Construction Estimator - Residential at Kaminski Construction you will be responsible for the direction and control of the pre-construction process through the point of sale. This includes marketing Kaminski services to potential clients or leads, inspection of projects and sites for the development of cost estimates in a format suitable for use by Clients, Project Managers as well as the project team. An Estimator must be able to balance analytics, site logistics, building codes and blueprint interpretation as well as client, subcontractor, and production team needs, while utilizing excellent communication skills to successfully maintain positive relationships.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience as an Estimator
  • Competence with analysis, numeration, and research
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, scheduling software, and database cost-estimating software
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Very detail-oriented

  • Working knowledge and understanding of multiple skilled trades relevant to the residential construction industry
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Estimate residential, multifamily and at times commercial construction jobs.
  • Develop detailed scopes of work for projects in collaboration with customers both internal and external.
  • Soliciting and leveling bids from subcontractors
  • Preparation and development of construction as well as project phase expenditure schedules including take-offs.
  • Participate in sales team projects and events to generate new leads and develop new or potential markets.
  • Maintaining Subcontractor relationships
  • Participating in project economic evaluations
  • Perform labor and material cost analysis to determine market opportunity and viability for potential new Kaminski products or services.
  • Utilize spreadsheets, scheduling software, and database cost-estimating software to produce high quality proposals and bids proficiently and consistently.
