A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER As a Construction Estimator / Project Manager, you ensure that earthwork costs are accurately estimated and each construction project is completed in a smooth and timely manner. At the beginning of each project, you visit the proposed site and plan out what materials will be needed. Using your keen eye for detail, you develop bid reports and order materials at the office. During the projects, you ensure that things are up to code and schedules are being met. You also track job costs to check that everything is on budget as well as spearhead issues as they arise. In addition to new projects, your strong work ethic and multitasking abilities help you manage jobs that are already underway. You find great fulfillment in working hard and playing a vital role in the company's success!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience estimating for earthwork
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experienced multi-tasker
