About The Position

Idaho Power Company is seeking two temporary Construction Equipment Operators I or II to join their Transmission and Distribution Construction crews in Boise and Twin Falls. This role involves operating various heavy construction equipment while assisting with lines work and performing groundwork as needed. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of experience using heavy equipment or 1 year with formal training in construction equipment operation for Operator I.
• 4 years of experience using heavy equipment for Operator II, with preference for utility equipment experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications and endorsements within specified time frames.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of experience working around overhead and underground powerlines in the utility industry for Operator I.
• Certified Crane Operator (CCO) for Operator II.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy construction equipment including excavators, skid steers, and backhoes.
• Assist with lines work as needed and scheduled.
• Perform construction-related groundwork when equipment is not in use.
• Report to the Foreman on job sites and follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
