Idaho Power Company is seeking two temporary Construction Equipment Operators I or II to join their Transmission and Distribution Construction crews in Boise and Twin Falls. This role involves operating various heavy construction equipment while assisting with lines work and performing groundwork as needed.   • Operate a variety of heavy construction equipment including excavators, skid steers, and backhoes.
  • Assist with lines work as needed and scheduled.
  • Perform construction-related groundwork when equipment is not in use.
  • Report to the Foreman on job sites and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience using heavy equipment or 1 year with formal training in construction equipment operation for Operator I.
  • 4 years of experience using heavy equipment for Operator II, with preference for utility equipment experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications and endorsements within specified time frames.
  • 3 years of experience working around overhead and underground powerlines in the utility industry for Operator I.
  • Certified Crane Operator (CCO) for Operator II.
  • Competitive pay range of $37.25 - $52.06 per hour.
