About The Position

AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Construction Engineer I in the Transportation Department in Chicago, IL.
Perform daily on-site inspection of contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and city standards.
Document construction activities, quantities, workforce, and equipment in daily reports.
Verify proper materials, methods, and safety practices are used on the job site.
Communicate field conditions and potential conflicts to project management staff.
Monitor traffic control, public safety, and restoration efforts.
Assist in resolving construction issues, utility conflicts, and sequencing challenges.
Attend project meetings and provide input on progress, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

• BA/BS and none of the years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Motor vehicle check is required.
