Job Description The E&I Field Engineer supports construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision while ensuring quality requirements. The E&I Field Engineer initiates action when necessary to confirm the project is built according to the scope of work. This role provides construction engineering and technical support for electrical and instrumentation disciplines on large stand-alone projects and smaller projects. This role will contribute to the development of a metals refinery located in Bay Minette, AL. Address daily construction questions related to electrical and instrumentation. Review and approve underground duct bank permits. Conduct pre-concrete pour walkdowns to verify embedded conduit installations. Respond to RFIs and provide technical interpretation of design documents. Coordinate engineering changes with the construction team. Revise design drawings to resolve field interferences and implement changes. Review cable schedules and incorporate design updates. Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with construction-related issues. Coordinate completion of construction activities and prepare punch lists for system turnover or startup. Perform system walkdowns for turnover readiness. Analyze problems and recommend solutions in alignment with project objectives. Other duties as assigned.
