About The Position

Tetra Tech is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in Europe, specifically Podgorica, Montenegro, for the construction of a New US Embassy Compound (NEC) with the State Department's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO). The project involves the New Chancery, demolition of existing chancery and temporary annex buildings, Marine Security Guard Residence (MSGR), Shop Facilities and Utility Building (UTL), Waste Treatment Facility, Recreation Facilities, and Security Upgrades. This position requires a US Government Secret Security Clearance and has a minimum commitment of 1 year, up to 15 months of employment. Housing and transportation allowances are provided, along with a 10% uplift of the base salary.

Requirements

US Govt. Secret Clearance or higher
US Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Current US PE license can substitute for degree)
7 years construction experience
ABET accredited international degree accepted in lieu of US Bachelor’s or US PE

Responsibilities

Provide the NEC project with a full range of critical engineering, construction quality assurance, and technical oversight.
Perform technical inspections of electrical work.
Monitor construction contractor's quality control program.
Review project drawings to ensure compliance.
Observe on-site construction and make sure construction elements are being installed, formed, and executed properly.
Monitor construction progress regarding project schedule.
Submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical review of project documents and field inspections.
