The role involves coordinating with design agencies to ensure timely issuance of new designs or design changes, walking down and reviewing designs for constructability, resolving design problems encountered in the field during construction, and meeting with design engineers to discuss solutions. The engineer inspects and verifies materials, equipment, and construction workmanship to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and code requirements. The position also requires participation in turnover activities and support in the start-up and functional check-out of equipment and systems. A thorough understanding of construction engineering principles and the ability to apply these principles to field conditions is essential.
