Lead the way in Fort Wayne! Join our Field Operations team as a Construction Crew Leader and oversee critical water and sewer projects. City of Fort Wayne – Field Operations/WPCM Schedule: 11:00 pm-7:00 am; Required to be on call in assigned rotation What You'll Do: Supervise and direct a construction crew in water distribution and sewer/storm collection systems Oversee excavations, repair leaks, replace pipe sections, install new assets, and handle valves from 4"–24" Perform plumbing work including soldering copper pipe and meter sets Operate and direct heavy equipment and trucks as needed Ensure jobsite safety, compliance with OSHA standards, and proper documentation of daily work Train and mentor crew members Must-Have Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 4 years' experience in heavy equipment construction Valid Indiana driver's license; CDL with "A" endorsement within 180 days Certified Competent Person: Excavation/Trench & Confined Space (must obtain within 90 days of start) Why Join Us: Lead a skilled crew on essential city infrastructure projects Work in a hands-on role with variety and responsibility Be part of a team committed to safety, quality, and public service Equal Opportunity Employer Help Fort Wayne's water and sewer systems run safely and efficiently!
