What You'll Do: The Construction/Facilities Crew Leader is responsible for supervising daily construction activities for commercial healthcare projects within Blue Ridge Health facilities. This role leads assigned crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with healthcare regulations, infection prevention standards, and organizational policies. Responsibilities include: Assign daily work tasks and monitor productivity, workmanship, and attendance Provide hands-on training and mentoring to crew members Serves as a contractor on the organization’s commercial contractor license Interprets construction drawings, specifications, and project plans Works closely with Director of Facilities, Project Managers, clinical leadership, and subcontractors Identifies project risks and resolves job site issues proactively Tracks labor hours, materials usage, and reports daily progress to Director of Facilities Assists with scheduling inspections and permitting, deliveries, and coordination with clinical operations Inspects completed work for compliance with drawings, building codes, ADA standards, and healthcare facility requirements Follows and upholds Infection Control protocols, Interim Life Safety Measures and HRSA requirements, as applicable. Ensures construction technicians and other team members have completed required safety & risk management trainings before working on job sites. Ensures use of proper PPE, dust containment, negative air machines, and noise mitigation as required What We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade training preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of residential or commercial contractor experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities Valid North Carolina driver’s license Experience working in occupied healthcare facilities strongly preferred OSHA 10 or 30 Certification for Construction and General Industry preferred First Aid/CPR certification preferred Healthcare construction safety training certification preferred About Blue Ridge Health: At Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health, inspire Hope, and advance Healing through access to Compassionate, Affordable, and Quality Care .
