About The Position

The Construction Craft Laborer at Solarstall, Inc. is responsible for performing a variety of construction activities as part of project teams. This role emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company standards while completing tasks related to solar project activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or similar education.
  • 1-2 years of construction experience.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented, dedicated, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to report to work consistently per schedule.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings (preferred).
  • Previous craft labor experience (preferred).
  • Ability to work well independently and with supervision.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training (preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction tasks in accordance with construction management instructions and industry best practices, focusing on safety.
  • Conduct work in a professional and cooperative manner as part of a construction team.
  • Engage in safety meetings and demonstrate commitment to safe work habits.
  • Complete required training activities in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance to Apprentice Craft Laborers when requested.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment through housekeeping duties.
  • Adopt behaviors that align with Solarstall's organizational values.
  • Comply with company requirements established in the Integrated Management System (IMS) and safety procedures.
  • Perform various construction tasks including site preparation, loading/unloading materials, and using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Work under the direction of the site manager to accomplish tasks according to project and regulatory requirements.
  • Observe OSHA, NEC, and other regulatory requirements during work.
  • Safely use and maintain hand and power tools, ensuring accountability for tools and materials at the end of the shift.
  • Establish safety cordons and utilize safety spotters when required.
  • Communicate any anomalies or issues regarding equipment used.
  • Complete basic paperwork and electronic documents as required.
