About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Counsel with at least 5 years of transactional construction experience to join our Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, New York or Washington, DC office. Learn more about our construction group here: https://www.seyfarth.com/services/industries/construction.html As part of the Construction Group, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking matters in collaboration with senior attorneys.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of high-caliber experience in a law firm environment negotiating large infrastructure project agreements and complex construction projects.
• The ideal candidate will have experience representing public and private owners and private contractors on public and private development projects; and, will have experience with some of the following matters: drafting and negotiation of construction contracts (including design-build, design-bid-build, design-build-finance-operate-maintain, construction management, EPC, design, development), public procurement-related issues including drafting and interpretation of RFPs, public-private partnerships, contract administration, risk management.
• Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills required.
• Candidate must be admitted to the Bar of the state for which they are applying or meet the requirements to waive in.
