About The Position

The Construction Cost Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for various project types, including retail, office, multifamily, and industrial projects. These estimates are crucial for clients for cost segregation purposes, which involves categorizing different assets in a building for tax reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in estimating software, with the flexibility to work remotely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 0-3 years of experience in construction estimating
• Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Self-motivated; ability to work independently
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
• Knowledge of various property types (commercial, industrial, residential)

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans, specifications, and other project documents
• Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs using RS Means or Marshall Valuation Service
• Prepare detailed cost estimates
• Prepare reports and supporting documentation
• Coordinate and collect information from building owners, architects, engineers, and contractors
